The Auld House Edit

Design ideas, practical advice, and a little perspective from people who spend a lot of time thinking about homes.

A beautiful home doesn't come together in one big decision.

It's hundreds of little ones...

Where the sofa will actually sit, whether you need that much open shelving, which countertop can handle real life, and where it's worth spending a little more—and where it really isn't. Sometimes it's choosing the perfect paint color, and sometimes it's realizing the door should have swung the other way before someone installs it.

After years of designing custom homes, renovations, kitchens, bathrooms, and everything in between, we've learned quite a bit about what makes a home not only beautiful, but really good to live in.

The Auld House Edit is where we share some of it.

You'll find a mix of design ideas, practical advice, projects we're especially excited about, things we're loving lately, and plenty of insight for making all of those decisions that come with creating a home.

Some of it may help you plan a renovation, some might save you from a decision you'll regret later, and some may simply give you a really good idea to bring home.
