How Auld House Design Started
Megan’s fascination with homebuilding started early. She grew up spending weekends in and around job sites across the South Atlanta area, riding through neighborhoods under construction with her parents and watching her father build homes as part of his company, founded in 1994. Those years formed the foundation of her eye for quality, scale, and craftsmanship.
When Megan entered the art program at the University of Georgia, she quickly discovered interior design, a blend of creativity, structure, and problem-solving that immediately felt like home. While in school, she began making market selections, furnishing model homes, and taking on greater responsibility within her father’s business.
After graduation, Megan spent over a decade designing homes for several well-respected Atlanta builders, including 5½ years with Edward Andrews Homes (now Empire Communities). She helped build and eventually lead the design department, overseeing a team of six and contributing to the successful delivery of more than 350 homes per year.
In February 2020, Megan launched Auld House Design with a vision of serving clients in a more personal, intentional way, offering expert guidance, organized processes, and an honest, relationship-first experience.
Today, the Auld House team has grown to include Emily Meyer, Delaney Helton, and Marcella Stanley, bringing diverse backgrounds, styles, and strengths to the studio.

Megan Buchanan Lichty
FOUNDER

Megan Buchanan Lichty, founder and principal designer, brings over 20 years of experience in the construction and interior design industry. With deep roots in Fayette County and Coweta County, Megan has built her career on understanding the intersection of beauty, function, and everyday life.
She holds a BFA from the University of Georgia and has managed a wide range of projects from luxury kitchen renovations and custom homes to high-end builder specifications and full-home furnishings. She collaborates closely with Lichty Building Group, working alongside their team to ensure thoughtful coordination between design and construction.
Megan treasures the blessing of working alongside her husband and considers her team an extension of family. Outside the studio, Megan, Daniel, and their daughter Margaret Rose enjoy life on their farm, raising animals, cooking, and traveling together.

Emily Meyer
SENIOR DESIGNER
Emily graduated with a BFA in Interior Design from Marymount University and has over a decade of experience in model home merchandising, kitchen and bath remodeling, and home additions. Her background gives her a refined technical eye, making her invaluable in space planning and detail-oriented selections.When she’s not designing for clients across Peachtree City and Coweta County, you’ll find her scuba diving with her husband, training for Ironman triathlons, baking, or adventuring outdoors with her young daughter and son.

Delaney Helton
SENIOR DESIGNER
‘Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.’ James 1:12Delaney earned her BS in Interior Design from the University of Georgia’s School of Family & Consumer Sciences, where she developed a deep appreciation for function-forward design. She has worked alongside accomplished designers and builders throughout the South Atlanta area, and her passion for home stems from her love of family and fostering meaningful environments.
Her aesthetic leans toward neutral palettes, elevated simplicity, and livable, family-friendly spaces. Delaney and her husband, Ryan, enjoy staying active, trying new restaurants, and loving on their little ones.

Marcela Stanley
DESIGNER

Ephesians 4:2Marcela holds a BFA in Interior Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design and began her career designing homes in the Atlanta area before relocating to Fayette County to be closer to family. Her design approach is rooted in a love for organic finishes, layered textures, and earthy tones that bring warmth, balance, and a sense of calm to every space.
Marcela is especially drawn to creating interiors that feel grounded and livable, blending natural materials with thoughtful details that support everyday life. Outside of the studio, she enjoys redesigning her own home, volunteering with her husband at their church, spending time with family and friends, and settling in to binge-watch their latest favorite show.
