In the Lake Redwine community of Newnan, GA, Auld House Design transformed a once-basic home office into a richly layered retreat designed for both productivity and relaxation. Originally defined by grey walls, a plain desk, and little personality, the space was completely reimagined into a sophisticated dual-purpose room that feels both functional and inviting.
Custom built-in cabinetry, bookshelves, and an integrated desk maximize storage and create a polished architectural focal point, while four comfortable reading chairs introduce a warm, conversational atmosphere perfect for quiet moments or casual gatherings. To elevate the mood, Auld House Design specified a deep dark blue across the walls, trim, and ceiling, enveloping the room in a cozy, dramatic palette that adds depth and refinement.
Metal and glass double barn doors provide a stylish separation from the foyer while still allowing natural light and visual connection between spaces. The result is a tailored home office that balances everyday functionality with timeless character and elevated design.
Throughout the project, Auld House Design collaborated closely with the client on cabinetry design, space planning, finishes, and furnishings. The AHD team developed a concept rooted in the client’s vision, partnered with the contractor to bring the design to life, and completed the transformation with a full furniture installation and thoughtfully curated art placement.
