This carriage house project began as a new build, but its true transformation came when Auld House Design stepped in to refine the vision and carry the design through to completion. Working alongside Brett Baker Homes, we took over the design direction and full furnishings installation, bringing clarity, cohesion, and thoughtful detail to every aspect of the space.
Using the architect’s original plans as a foundation, Auld House Design curated all interior finishes and designed custom elements that elevated the carriage house beyond a standard auxiliary dwelling. A custom vanity and studio built-ins were thoughtfully designed to maximize both function and visual impact, ensuring the space felt intentional, polished, and comfortable for everyday use.
We accompanied the client to showrooms to source distinctive materials, including custom-selected bathroom floor tile, and managed the procurement of specialty finishes throughout the home. One standout feature, a beautifully layered wallpaper sourced from Italy, was carefully selected and installed under AHD’s direction to ensure a flawless result.
Auld House Design also handled the full furnishing of the carriage house, thoughtfully scaling, sourcing, ordering, and installing every piece to suit the architecture and flow of the space. The custom-designed bar serves as a focal point, with finishes and details selected to feel elevated yet welcoming.
