Sharpsburg, GA Kitchen Design for Lichty Building Group

This full kitchen remodel reimagined the flow and function of the home, creating a warm, open space that feels both welcoming and beautifully tailored to the family’s everyday life. Working alongside Lichty Building Group, we began by rethinking the main level layout, removing the wall between the kitchen and family room, installing an LVL beam disguised with stained wood, and reframing the surrounding areas to include a new scullery, a refreshed mudroom entry with a custom bench, and a converted keeping room turned home office.

Inside the kitchen, we designed a new cabinet configuration centered around a generous eat-in island, complete with custom inset cabinetry that elevates the overall look and feel. Existing cabinets were reconfigured, professionally painted, and thoughtfully repurposed in the new scullery for added storage and continuity.

Throughout the home, the hardwood floors were sanded and stained for a seamless, cohesive foundation. The kitchen received new appliances, updated lighting, a custom marble backsplash, and quartz countertops chosen for both durability and understated elegance. Every finish, from lighting and plumbing to cabinet colors, stain tones, and materials, was selected with the goal of creating a timeless, functional space designed for long-term living.

As part of their construction contract with LBG, the clients received our full design services. Auld House Design produced revised floor plans, space reconfigurations, cabinetry layouts, and guided each material and finish selection along the way.

The result is an open, thoughtfully planned kitchen with intentional details, classic materials, and a warm, effortless charm that suits the family’s life beautifully.

Your home deserves a thoughtful approach to how you live, and we’re here to guide every step.
